Hey everyone,
so here's post numero dos. :) Lol, so I went to my brother's house in Whittier, CA last night to watch a boxing match. Anyway, I realized that I hadn't told neither him, nor my sister-in-law about all this SGP goodness and how SGP came to be. Well I knew she would enjoy the story soI told her. It all started like this...
Edith and I were sitting at her dining room table while my dad and brother were watching the boxing match. Anyway, I started asking her if she knew who Hilarie Burton was, or One Tree Hill. She said she knew both, which helped on my end so she could put a face with the name. Then I started from the very very beginning. I told her about how towards the very end of season 4 and early early filming of season 5 HB had talked about it in interviews and seemed very passionate about it. Then jumped ahead to about December of last year and how I started seeing more interviews with her talking about SGP. I kept talking and talking about how great she is and how her visions were truly inspiring and real and not like any other actors or celebrities in the business.
So at this point, we had to leave the house and go buy the food because we were all starving. We ended up going to Casa Garcia (most awesome place ever. Anyone in LA or Whittier or CA in general needs to check it out. Their nachos are to die for) On the ride there my SIL was like so giddy and wondering what was going to happen next...
we're in the car, and as soon as I buckled my seat belt, she says "ok go. tell me. tell me. tell me." I just laughed and started telling her about how in January was when Hil posted the first Southern Gothic blog and about how I was sooo excited that all of us fans could keep in contact and see everything that happens. Then I started telling her about how their first movie is Pedestrian and Austin Nichols is leading man. Anyway, we started pulling up to Casa Garcia and that was when I started telling her about how I emailed Kelly with an idea to help out SGP. I told her how I thought of the idea of SGP having a YT account strictly for that and if they wanted me to moderate it for them sincethey are super busy with OTH and meetings for SGP and everything else. Then Edith got even more excited because I actually had made contact with Kelly. Right after we ordered, I started telling her that Kelly and the team thought it was a great idea for a YT account for all their vlogs that they had started to do so it would help out the fan base and is pretty much free advertisement. So Kelly gave me the ok, but then emailed me telling me that someone had already beat me to it. I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it, and was pretty bummed, but KT told me not to fret, that Portia and I could co-moderate it. By this time, Edith was on the edge of her seat because she thought I was going to end the story with me not being able to do the YT thing.
Alright so we get the food...and we are now in the car going back to the house lol. Yes I know, this is a huge story, but hey, SoGo, and Hil deserve this recognition and I'm sure everyone else agrees with me :) :)
"Well, E, I talked to Portia and we agreed to co-moderate and decided that we needed a background for the site so she asked me if I would be willing to do it since I had more experience with Photoshop." Ok so, on the way back, I started telling her about all the diff backgrounds I made and how I wanted to make sure they fit certain requirements. After that, I told her about how the SGP blog was going insane with soo many new comers and how there were sooo many countries involved. Anyway, I got to the point where Ali and KT asked me about doing a contest video and how I quickly agreed. Soon after that everything was good, nothing too outstanding happened except for when Hil and Nick decided to post up a vlog about all the support. And that was where Edith's jaw almost dropped. Haha, I told her how Portia messaged me on YT, demanding me to hurry up and see the new vlog she posted. So I told E how I went on and practically hyperventilated haha. Literally I did, it was practially an asthma attack and I dont even have asthma. :) So I told her how H-Bomb gave alot of her supporters shout outs, including Portia and I. I proceeded to tell her that I was on a natural high for about a good week lol...and then how that high somewhat deflated a bit when I saw her vlog about leaving. I know it's for Hil's best interest, and that it was going to happen regardless, but it's different reading about it in blogs or spoilers, but actually seeing Hilarie choke up about and meticulously choose her words was so heartbreaking...anywho, lol before I starte getting teary eyed again...um I finished story when we got back to the house while we were eating and told E about how big SGP is now and how they have their blog, a youtube account, a twitter account, a flickr account and a website that is well on its way.
Let me tell you guys, my sister in law was so intrigued and interested that as soon as I finished the story, she demanded me to show her the site so she could be apart of the awesomeness that is SGP. I showed her the chat box from last night, all the sites, the youtube videos, and even some of Hil's interviews. She loved everything and now she loves HB. I mean who wouldnt? Come on now lol. I told her about how once in a while members of SGP come on the cbox...and how we put up vlogs once in a while, and how SGP posts up blogs almost everyday and how much support they have with the fans. It's so incredible that one would think it isn't true. But it is...and we are ALL part of it. No matter what happens in life, I know I will be on the SGP band wagon for the long hall...and I'm pretty sure I can say the same for all of you :)
Thanks for reading you guys!
